I’m Keso from Georgia. For the past 8 months, I have been a volunteer at the IZUM Youth Centre, where I had the opportunity to work with children at ABC School. I was involved in various activities, including organizing a 'Georgian Cafe' and facilitating different educational games.
In addition, I had the chance to be actively involved in Erasmus+ projects, such as 'Behind the Lens.' Beyond developing my skills in cinematography and photography, I was also highly active in managing social media. A pivotal moment for me was participating in the organization of the 'Human Library,' as I believe youth work embodies civic responsibility, which is best achieved through the sharing of information and knowledge.
Furthermore, within the framework of the Youth Club, I planned meetings for young people focused on topics like mental health awareness, human rights, and minority rights. Project planning and teamwork have significantly strengthened my leadership skills. Working at IZUM has been a vital opportunity for me to explore inclusive education and youth work. It was an excellent example of international networking, which I will carry forward in my career as I strive to integrate human rights into the educational system.
